The line. Wager line – Is referring to either an agreed upon hypothetical line, or an actual line that is marked out using white, or black to determine the territory surrounding and defining ‘the wager pot’. It is either circular, or oval depending on the table. Anything within the inner circle is determined as being ‘the pot’ and in serious games its domain is strictly enforced and adhered to.
An example of what would cause a ruling regarding the wager line would be if a player was to throw too many chips in past the line for any reason and attempted to withdraw them back off of the table. An opposing player could complain to an official potentially resulting in the initial player (The one that mistakenly threw the chips into the pot) forfeiting the chips, increasing the pot to the advantage of the winner.
